Finland (the land of Finn Sylwester) just passed a law requiring its broadband companies to offer free broadband to all citizens. Wow. Not sure that would work here. I hear Comcast likes money.

The upcoming movie, The Social Network, now has its own rushed-together movie trailer. I’m not sure this says anything about the movie, but nonetheless, it does feature Zombieland’s Jesse Eisenberg’s face at the end.

Just listened to 95.5 The Game’s interview with Steve Patterson who, apparently, doesn’t like Kevin Pritchard too much ANNNNDDD blames all the negative press he received (read: Darius Miles extension) on his loyal take-the-bullet-for-the-owner management style. And he also takes credit for landing Brandon Roy and LaMarcus Aldridge.

Bull. There was a reason Steve Patterson was fired soon after that draft and there was a reason Paul Allen hired Kevin Pritchard, an up-and-coming talent evaluator he so-famously dubbed having the “golden gut” soon there-after.

Unfortunately, there’s a whole bunch of revisionist history going around surrounding Kevin Pritchard’s time in Portland perpetuated by Paul Allen’s properties (95.5 is owned by Allen). Also, Mike Barrett, one of Kevin Pritchard’s biggest proponents throughout the last couple years, in his last blog post somehow now trusts that Allen made the right move despite public sentiment? Something fishy is coming from the top. Everyone is looking for cover now that Paul has made clear anyone who pisses him off is done. And he doesn’t care who he pisses off in the process (the entire frickin’ city of Portland).
